Flower’s Love
When the Little Prince was in the planet, he met the flower. At that time, she was safe because she had thorns even if the tiger appeared.
In fact, she loved him so she didn’t want him to realize her real feeling and she pretended that she didn’t love him. So the Little Prince thought she was OK.
After he came to the narrator’s planet, he met him. When he talked with him, he realized that the flower was weak and he was worried about her. He realized that they loved each other.
In our opinion, flower’s feeling is like girl and it is so cute. Interesting points are that the flower and human fall in love and that the flower is speaking. It’s a perspective from children.
Why does the flower behave in such a way to the Little Prince?

I think the flower, a girl, wanted him to care her more.

I think both of young girls and young boys can’t show their true feeling, especially they love somebody because they don’t know how to confess it.
I think flower is actually weak but she doesn’t want to
notice. I think also flower is shy and she didn’t communicate
with someone before, so she didn’t know how to communicate
and want to hide her shyness.

May 22nd, 2008 at 11:03 pmIt is so cute that she cannot express real feeling in front of lover person. The little prince is so insensitive because he could not realize her real feeling. I think most men is insensitive. Girls want them to realize their feeling without any words.
On one side, I also think the flower is cute; on the other hand, I think the flower should become supple a little bit more. The flower’s pride was so high that it caused a sad result. We can learn that to be supple is important so that we will not regret in the future.

She also pretends that she does’t like him because she doesn’t want him to notice her feeling. That’s the why the flower behaves in such a way to the little prince.
May 23rd, 2008 at 7:52 amI understand the flower feeling. I think it is normal thinking of girls. She pretend she is strong but she know she is weak. She wants to be care by little prince but she pretend that she wants him not to care about her. It is a kind of irony.

May 26th, 2008 at 12:59 amI strongly believe that there is a ROSE in everyone’s life and there is a Little Prince too. Sometimes we are lucky enough so as to coincide in time and place with our rose and sometimes we are not. I guess that if we read between the lines, the relationship between the Little prince and his Rose is just the perfect manifestation of TRUE LOVE.
